Freddie the Frog

Freddie the Frog

Lay on a log,

To catch the Sun’s rays

Which were warming!

A heron, nearby,

Catching Fred in its eye,

Crept up

Without any warning!

But a shadow was cast,

As heron crept past

Which caused poor Freddie

To Shiver!

So, he jumped on a reed

To foil the foul deed

Which heron

Was about to deliver!

Then to Fred’s relief

He saw a big leaf

Floating beneath

On the water

As Fred floated away

We all heard him say.

“Here’s one frog

That heron won’t slaughter!
